Aw Shucks Farms
Welcome to Aw Shucks Farms of Monroe for 2010!

SPRING SEASON
Spring on the Farm
9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
March 24, 2010 - May 28, 2010 (Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays ONLY)

New for Spring 2010, Aw Shucks! Farms offers students a farm field trip focused on plants, animals, and agriculture in our state. Make an appointment for your school class or homeschool group to come out to the farm and enjoy fun lessons and activities that are correlated to State curriculum for plants, animals, and changes in agriculture since the 1800s.

According to the 1997 Census of Agriculture, North Carolina is ranked 5th among the major cotton producing states in the US. Students will have a chance to learn about this important crop, baby animals, and other aspects of local agriculture. Other fun activities include our Giant Slide, a Wagon Ride, the Tree House, Rubber Duck Races, and our Nature Trail.
FALL SEASON
Corn Maze   / Field Trips
All Day    /   9:00 AM - 1:00 PM
September 17, 2010 - November 21, 2010

Aw Shucks! Farms continues to be a treasured destination each fall with something to offer for all ages. Step back in time in the Old Fashioned General Store, enjoy a Hayride, or visit the Pumkin Patch, etc.! Aw Shucks! Farms specializes in educating visitors in a fun (often quirky) kind of way - Get Outside and Learn!

With a new design for our Corn Maze each year, the paths will challenge some and entertain even the youngest of outdoor adventurers. Our paths are cut wide and strollers and wagons are welcome. Maps are given to visitors to guide you through the maze and employees are in and out to check on you. For an extra adventure, try the maze at NIGHT! (Bring a flashlight)

We have plenty of Picnic area. Feel free to bring your own food. In our General Store you will find sodas, water, snacks, candy, popcorn, and lots of unique gifts!
THE 13th ACRE
Halloween Haunts
October 1, 2010 - October 30, 2010 (Fridays & Saturdays)

This all new haunted trail is not for the faint of heart. The experience will terrify most and leave many looking for escape! In the Parkwood area The 13th Acre is home to many ghastly ghost stories. This is a walking event that is NOT recommended for small children.

For those in your party too terrified to enter the trail, the Aw Shucks! Corn Maze, hayrides, pumpkin patch, and other activities WILL BE OPEN during the haunted trail.

You might pay to get in, but you'll PRAY to get out!
